Design and Conceps for Film

The Grand Budapest Hotel is arguably one of Wes Anderson’s best films. He continues to use his symmetrical style and amazing colour palette throughout the film. The film is about a hotel owned by a previous lobby boy and follows the story of how he acquired it and the series of events that followed it.
At first glance, the main characteristic of the film that catches your eye is the colour palette. Each place and area have their own colour, and each colour within that room complements each other very well. This is a common theme amongst Anderson’s films. This particular style, mixed with the use of symmetrical and stylised cinematography, creates a stunning-looking film.
The storyline is an expertly written feel-good type. As the film progresses, you feel more in touch with the characters. And start to share the same emotions as them. By the end of the film, you are in tears.
