Design and Conceps for Film
BBC 3 Project
this is the first project that we have started in our DFTV course. For this project, we have to design a set/studio for a late-night, live tv show that will be shown on BBC 3 and is aimed at people from 18 - 35 years old.
This has to host a live audience as well as fit within the studio requirements that we were given at the start of the project

some initial design sketches of what the set could look like and certain peices of furniture
throughout the initial design process there were a lot of variations of the same design. this is because some design didn't work or fit with the style of the set. so sketching them out gave me a good idea of what worked and what didn't

At this stage, I got a good idea of what the colour scheme and overall feel of the set look like.

Reflection
At the end of the project, I felt it was pretty successful and informative as a first project. as this was our first project, standards for the outcome were relatively low. But overall, I felt that the project it turned out to be quite good. I explored most areas of the brief to the full extent.
On reflection, there are a few little details that I would change. These include some design choices such as wood effects and colouring, which could have been better planned out before the final design was done as I felt that I didn't give enough thought to this and ended up all blending in with the other sections that were also wood. The logo is something I should have spent a little more time on as it's one of the first things you see, and this could have been developed a bit more to further the idea and theme of the show.
Overall as a first project, I think it went pretty well, but as with every other project, there are always ways that it could be developed to better improve the design choices.
